General Terms and Conditions of Sale
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all transactions with Nordic Homesteads LDA, identified by tax number PT517939126 and headquartered at Rua Hermano Neves, Nº 18, Piso 3, Escritório 7, V2474 1600-477 Lisbon, Portugal.
By purchasing from Nordic Homesteads LDA, the client agrees to these terms unless a different agreement has been made in writing.
Parties Involved
- Supplier: Nordic Homesteads LDA, VAT number PT517939126, Avenida da República 50, 2nd floor, 1050-196 Lisbon.
- Customer: Individual or legal entity placing an order with the Supplier.
Applicability
- All transactions are governed by these terms and conditions.
- For any issues not covered by these terms, the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) will automatically apply.
Proof and Documentation
- Before placing an order, the Customer is presumed to have reviewed all relevant documentation available on the Nordic Homesteads website, including product descriptions, technical specifications, and assembly instructions. This includes all materials sent to the Customer via other means such as email or phone.
- The Customer must keep copies of all communications and documents related to the order.
Cancellation Policy:
- 14-Day Cancellation Period: The Customer has 14 days from the date of order to request a cancellation and receive a full refund.
- Post 14-Day Cancellation: If the Customer cancels after 14 days, no refund will be issued as production will have already commenced, incurring costs.
- Post-Shipment Cancellations: Cancellations made after the product has been shipped will incur a restocking fee of 25% of the product price.
- Returns: The Customer must return the product in its original condition and packaging. Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the Customer. Refunds are only issued upon receiving the item. If the product is not in its original condition, the refund does not apply.
Conditions:
- All cancellation requests must be made in writing.
- This policy does not affect your statutory rights regarding faulty or misdescribed products.

Delivery
- Estimated delivery dates are provided at the time of order, subject to stock availability. Shipping costs are separate from the product price.
- The Customer must ensure availability at the time of delivery, with any additional costs incurred due to absence borne by the Customer.
- Products must be inspected upon delivery, with defects or missing parts reported within 10 days. Claims do not exempt payment obligations.
Payment Methods
- Advance Payment and Final Payment: A 40% advance payment is required to confirm the order, with the balance due before delivery via bank transfer, credit card, or cryptocurrency.
- Non-Compliance: Failure to comply with payment terms will incur interest as per applicable law.
Conformity and Warranty Against Defects
- The Customer must ensure the product's technical descriptions meet their needs, reporting any non-conformity within 10 days of receipt.

The Supplier offers a 2-year warranty against defects in wooden structures, subject to specific conditions:
- The warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not include natural wear and tear caused by the elements. This includes the expansion and contraction of wood, which shrinks and expands when subjected to heat and moisture. The Customer is responsible for adequately treating the materials against any rot, mold, insects, humidity, heat and other elements.
- The warranty does not cover defects resulting from installation by third-party companies not recommended by the Supplier.
- The Customer must provide evidence of the defect through photos, videos, or live demonstration.
- The warranty is activated only upon sufficient evidence proving that the defect was due to a manufacturing error.
- The Customer must present the serial number of the product to activate the warranty.
- The warranty aims to fix the given manufacturing defects. The product is only replaced completely if it is deemed unusable.
- The warranty claim process is initiated by contacting the Supplier in writing and presenting evidence of the manufacturing defect.
- The Supplier holds the right to process the warranty claim within 12 months of receiving the claim.
Termination of Sale for Non-Compliance
- The Supplier reserves the right to terminate the sale if the Customer fails to fulfill obligations after notification.
Final Provisions
- Copyright: Drawing or installation documents remain the exclusive property of the Supplier.
- Data Protection: Personal data processing complies with GDPR.
- Jurisdiction: Disputes will be resolved in the courts located within the jurisdiction of the Supplier's company headquarters.
- Price Fluctuations: Prices may fluctuate due to raw material markets, allowing Suppliers and Customers to present and accept new prices or cancel transactions.
- Building Regulations: The Supplier takes no responsibility for obtaining building permits or ensuring compliance with local building regulations. All necessary permits must be obtained by the Customer before the Supplier is instructed to facilitate installation. Customers are strongly advised to seek local advice and guidance on building regulations prior to installation.
- Assembly: The Supplier is not responsible for assembly-related issues, except for installation defects directly related to the purchased item. All technical teams employed by the Supplier for installation are responsible for their own insurance covering installation-related accidents.
- Storage: Additional fees apply after two months of free storage, with a maximum storage duration of 6 months.
These terms govern all transactions between Nordic Homesteads LDA and its Customers, ensuring clarity and fairness in our commercial relationships.
